“Pete has now worked on several projects in my house, as well as providing an emergency plumbing service for a leaky hot water tank. He has undertaken re-tiling of walls in a shower room (completed to a very high standard), and a major refit of a bathroom, which included not only the plumbing, but all stripping, removal of existing fittings, plumbing, carpentry work to house the new bath, and all necessary fitting. He also sourced and managed the plasterer and electrician and organised their work to fit the schedule, and liaised independently with the bathroom design team. Pete’s work is first class, and he added value with suggestions to make the finished project even better – I wish people I had worked with in the past had done the same. This even extended to advice about how to manage the old window frame and recesses in the bathroom, all of which helped make the finished article even better. Areas of the work were challenging, including tiling on a diagonal, and Pete showed flexibility and perseverance to get it right. At a couple of points there were the inevitable change to plans, which Pete tackled with good grace and willingness, and always with a consultative approach (even though he is the expert and I am not!). I am delighted with all the work Pete has done in my house, and also with the fact that he shows real respect for someone else’s home (and befriended the dogs!) – I had no hesitation leaving him with a key while I was at work, and knew the house would be cared for clean when I returned. I would whole-heartedly recommend him for any aspect of plumbing work, but full bathroom re-fits in particular, and I am more than happy to be contacted by prospective clients who would like to know more”
